are open to adults of all ages.
The classes offered at the Mid-Valley Athletic Club are more Mature/Senior-
CHI GUNG literally means working with energy, and working
with the breath.
These sessions are designed to stimulate the flow of energy
through the joints, develop relaxed deep breathing, and generate a relaxed
feeling of well-being. We use the techniques of easy massage, energy points,
deep breathing, visualization, and circular movements found in tui na, tai chi
chih, and tai chi chuan. The
sessions are done in a chair to facilitate the relaxation and alignment of the
back and legs and focus on the circularity of breathing. These classes can also
with the Tai Chi Chuan classes, which are done with standing movements.

these classes use Dynamic Relaxation to move
the body through postures to equalize and strengthen the body core and alignment, as well as improve balance and breathing
